Eligibility Criteria (2025)

To apply for WBJEE, candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

  • Citizenship: Indian or OCI (applicable for All India quota) 

  • Age: Minimum 17 years by Dec 31, 2025 (no upper limit except for marine engineering—25 years max) 

  • Academic Qualification: Passed or appearing in Class 12 with PCM and English; required aggregate scores:

    • General: ≥45% in PCM; English ≥30%

    • Reserved: ≥40% in PCM

  • Domicile: Not mandatory except for state-aided institutions; West Bengal domicile required for reserved-category seats

WBJEE consists of two papers, both held on April 27, 2025Paper I (Math) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Paper II (Physics & Chemistry) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
